Abstract

Combined Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) (Star and Non-Star Hotels) in May 2011 reached 44.05%, up 1.02% compared to April 2011 which was recorded at 43.03%. TPK for Star Hotels in Bandar Lampung in May 2011 reached 54.27%, down 0.33% compared to April 2011 which was recorded at 54.60%. ROR for other accommodation (non-star hotels) in May 2011 reached 39.53%, up 0.58% compared to April 2011, namely 38.95%.

The number of guests staying in May 2011, in star and non-star hotels (combined) was 86,039 people, consisting of 380 foreign guests and 85,659 domestic guests, an increase of 8,006 people (10.26%) compared to April 2011, which was recorded at 78,033 people. The increase occurred due to an increase in the number of domestic guests in star and non-star hotels, while the number of foreign guests in star hotels increased by 119 people and in non-star hotels decreased by 44 people compared to last month. The number of guests in star hotels reached 12,904 people, namely 291 foreign guests and 12,613 domestic guests. This number increased 18.21% compared to the number of guests in April 2011 which reached 10,916 people. The number of guests staying overnight in May 2011, compared to May 2010, increased by 41.49%. The number of guests staying in other accommodation (non-star hotels) in May 2011 reached 73,135 people, consisting of 89 foreign guests and 73,046 domestic guests. This number increased by 6,018 people compared to April 2011 when it was recorded at 67,117 people.

The average length of stay for guests in May 2011 at star and non-star hotels (combined) was around 1.49 days, up 0.06 days compared to April 2011. Foreign guests stayed on average for 8.06 days, up 4.35 days compared to April 2011, while domestic guests averaged 1.44 days, an increase of 0.02 days compared to April 2011. The average length of stay at a star-rated hotel was 1.77 days, compared to the previous month, an increase of 1.17 days, and compared to in May 2010, it rose 0.04 days. The average length of stay for guests in other (non-star) accommodation is around 1.38 days, no different compared to April 2011, with details for foreign guests 5.00 days and domestic guests 1.38 days.
