Abstract

Combined Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) (Star and Non-Star Hotels) in April 2011 reached 43.03%, up 2.70% compared to March 2011 which was recorded at 40.33%. TPK for Star Hotels in Bandar Lampung in April 2011 reached 54.60 percent, an increase of 1.30% compared to March 2011 which was recorded at 53.30%. ROR for other accommodation (non-star hotels) in April 2011 reached 38.95%, up 3.12% compared to March 2011, namely 35.83%.

The number of guests staying in April 2011, in star and non-star hotels (combined) was 78,033 people, consisting of 305 foreign guests and 77,728 domestic guests, an increase of 2,701 people (3.59%) compared to March 2011, which was recorded at 75,332 people. The increase occurred due to the increase in the number of guests, both foreign and domestic, in star and non-star hotels. The number of guests in star hotels reached 10,916 people, namely 172 foreign guests and 10,744 domestic guests. This number increased 7.88% compared to the number of guests in March 2011 which reached 10,119 people. This increase occurred in 1, 2 and 3 star hotels, while 4 and 5 star hotels experienced a decrease of 362 people. The number of guests staying in April 2011 compared to April 2010 increased by 37.72%. This is due to an increase in the number of guests at 1, 2, 4 and 5 star hotels, while there has been a decline in 3 star hotels. The number of guests staying in other accommodation (non-star hotels) in April 2011 reached 67,117 people, consisting of 133 foreign guests and 66,984 domestic guests. This number increased by 1,904 people compared to March 2011 when it was recorded at 65,213 people.

The average length of stay for guests in April 2011 at star and non-star hotels (combined) was around 1.43 days, down 0.03 days compared to March 2011. Foreign guests stayed on average for 3.71 days, down 1.17 days compared to March 2011, while domestic guests averaged 1.42 days, down 0.02 days compared to March 2011. The average in star hotels was 1.60 days or 0.13 days lower compared to the previous month, and compared to last month. April 2010, lower by 0.19 days. The average guest stay in other (non-star) accommodation is around 1.38 days, no different compared to March 2011, with details, foreign guests 2.79 days and domestic guests 1.38 days.
