The
total export value of Lampung Province in April 2011 reached US$386
million or an increase of US$104.07 million (36.91%) compared to exports
in March 2011. When compared with April 2010, it increased US$233.03
million (152.35%) from worth US$152.96 million.
Three
main categories of goods experienced an increase in export value in
April 2011 compared to March 2011, namely animal/vegetable fats &
oils US$22.19 million; pulp/pulp US$15.83 million; and wood, wooden
goods US$7.79 million. Seven other main categories of goods experienced a
decline in export value in April 2011 compared to March 2011. The
largest decline in exports occurred in the coffee, tea and spices
categories of US$49.74 million; fish and shrimp US$16.10 million;
processed meat and fish US$13.50 million; Rubber and rubber goods
US$10.37 million; cocoa/chocolate US$9.25 million; organic chemicals
US$1.45 million; and processed fruit/vegetables US$0.01 million.
The
import value of Lampung Province, April 2011, reached US$198.15 million
or decreased by US$39.68 million (16.69%) compared to March 2011 which
was recorded at US$237.83 million. Lampung Province imports in April
2011, when compared with April 2010, increased by US$49.24 million from
US$148.91 million.
The
biggest decline in imports occurred in wheat, which fell by US$16.10
million; Sugar and confectionery US$14.36 million; Living Animals
US$13.64 million; Oil seeds US$ 2.61 million and Salt, Sulfur, Lime US$
0.19 million. Five categories of goods, out of the 10 main categories of
imported goods, experienced an increase and five others experienced a
decrease. The largest increase in imports occurred in the
Machinery/Aircraft Mechanics category, which rose by around US$12.74
million. The next category of goods that rose was Machinery/Electrical
Equipment US$10.87 million, Fertilizer US$8.01 million, Milling Products
US$7.87 million, and Food Industry Waste/Residue US$3.04 million.
