The total export value of Lampung Province in July 2011 only reached US$ 271.37 million or decreased by US$ 110.08 million (28.86%) compared to exports in June 2011. Export conditions in July 2011, compared to July 2010, increased by US$ 84.68 million. (45.36%) of US$186.69 million.
Six main categories of goods experienced a decline in export value in July 2011 compared to June 2011. The highest decline in exports occurred in the category of animal/vegetable fats & oils, US$68.04 million; pulp/pulp US$11.08 million; cocoa/chocolate US$1.66 million; coffee, tea, spices US$0.94 million; processed fruit/vegetables US$0.93 million; and organic chemicals US$0.05 million. The four main categories of goods that experienced an increase in export value in July 2011 compared to June 2011 were rubber and rubber goods at US$2.85 million; processed meat and fish US$1.20 million; wood, wooden goods US$0.35 million and fish and shrimp US$0.4 thousand.
The import value of Lampung Province in July 2011 reached US$274.60 million or an increase of US$69.95 million (34.18%) compared to June 2011 which was recorded at US$204.65 million. Lampung Province imports in July 2011, when compared with July 2010, increased by US$44.98 million from US$229.62 million.
Nine categories of goods, out of the 10 main categories of imported goods, experienced an increase and one category of goods experienced a decrease. The largest increase in imports occurred in oil and gas US$59.63 million, and which included nine main categories of goods were Live Animals US$20.93 million; Machinery/Aircraft Mechanics US$10.07 million; Food Industry Waste/Residue US$7.08 million; Fertilizer US$1.10 million; Electrical Machinery/Equipment US$1.09 million; Sugar and confectionery US$0.36 million; Oil seeds US$0.33 million; Milling Proceeds US$0.26 million; and Salt, Sulfur, Lime which rose by US$ 0.07 million. The decline in imports only occurred in the Wheat - Wheat goods category which fell by US$ 5.72 million.
