Abstract

The total export value of Lampung Province in June 2011 reached US$ 381 million or an increase of US$ 60.67 million (18.69%) compared to exports in May 2011. Export conditions in June 2011, compared to June 2010, increased by US$ 168.98 million (79 53%) of US$212.47 million.

Eight main categories of goods experienced an increase in export value in June 2011 compared to May 2011. The highest increase in exports occurred in the pulp/pulp goods category at US$7.78 million; fish and shrimp US$7.32 million; rubber and rubber goods US$5.82 million; processed meat and fish US$4.91 million; animal / vegetable fats & oils US$4.52 million; coffee, tea, spices US$2.66 million; cocoa/chocolate US$0.72 million; and wood, wooden goods US$0.18 million. The two main categories of goods that experienced a decline in export value in June 2011 compared to May 2011 were processed fruit/vegetables at US$1.69 million; and organic chemicals US$1.12 million.

The import value of Lampung Province in June 2011 reached US$204.65 million or decreased by US$45.65 million (18.24%) compared to May 2011 which was recorded at US$250.30 million. Lampung Province imports in June 2011, when compared with June 2010, increased by US$88.81 million from US$115.84 million.

Three categories of goods, out of the 10 main categories of imported goods, experienced a decline and seven others experienced an increase. The largest decline in imports occurred in oil and gas at US$46.53 million, and which included the three main categories of goods, namely sugar and confectionery at US$45.05 million; Food Industry Waste/Residue US$6.24 million; Oily grains US$1.78 million. The increase in imports occurred in the Wheat - wheat goods category, US$9.82 million; Machinery/Aircraft Mechanics US$6.39 million; Fertilizer US$6.07 million; Electrical Machinery/Equipment US$4.66 million; Living Animals US$4.25 million; Milling Proceeds US$1.11 million; and the next category of goods was Salt, Sulfur, Lime which increased by US$0.006 million.
