Lampung
Province's NTP in February 2011 for each subsector was recorded at
125.61 for the Rice & Secondary Crops Subsector (NTP-P), 107.53 for
the Horticulture Subsector (NTP-H), 115.64 for the People's Plantation
Crops Subsector (NTP-Pr ), 105.65 for the Livestock Subsector (NTP-Pt)
and 111.83 for the Fisheries Subsector (NTP-Pi). Meanwhile, the
Provincial/Combined NTP was recorded at 117.62.
The
increase in prices in the sub-sector of smallholder plantation crops,
such as the price of coffee, chocolate and pepper, as well as the
increase in prices in the sub-sector of horticultural crops such as
bananas, made Lampung's NTP increase 0.28 percent compared to the
previous month.
If
the NTP per subsector in February 2011 is compared with January 2010,
it can be seen that three of the five NTP subsectors have increased, the
horticultural crops subsector rose 0.47 percent, the smallholder
plantation crops subsector rose 2.40 percent, and the livestock
subsector rose 0.47 percent. .20 percent, while two subsectors
experienced a decline, namely the food crops subsector (0.37%) and the
fisheries subsector (0.68).
Of
the 32 provinces reported in February 2011, 23 provinces experienced an
increase in NTP and 9 provinces experienced a decrease in NTP. The
highest increase in NTP in February 2011 occurred in Bali Province,
namely 1.34 percent, this was because the price paid by farmers fell by
0.03 percent while the price received by farmers rose by 1.31 percent.
Meanwhile, the largest decline in NTP occurred in South Kalimantan
Province, which fell by 0.70 percent, due to an increase in prices paid
by farmers of 0.82 percent while the prices received by farmers only
increased by 0.12 percent.
February
2011 saw deflation in rural areas in Lampung Province amounting to 0.24
percent. Deflation in rural areas was mainly caused by the decline in
the price index for the foodstuffs group. The decline in the index also
occurred in the transportation and communication group, while other
groups still experienced an increase in the index.
