Abstract

In August 2022 there was a deflation of 0.34 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 112.95. Of the 90 CPI cities, 79 cities experienced deflation and 11 cities experienced inflation. The highest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan at 1.65 percent with a CPI of 115.34 and the lowest occurred in Depok and Kediri at 0.01 percent with a CPI of 113.29 and 111.01, respectively.

The inflation rate for the calendar year (August 2022 to December 2021) is 3.98 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (August 2022 to August 2021) is 5.72 percent.
