Abstract

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index of six expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages, and tobacco by 1.14 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.21 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.21 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 1.08 percent; transportation group by 0.03 percent; and the group of food and beverage providers/restaurants by 1.19 percent. Meanwhile, deflation occurred in two expenditure groups, namely: personal care and other services by 0.28 percent; and the health group by 0.06 percent.

The three expenditure groups that did not experience price changes were the information, communication, and financial services group; recreation, sports, and cultural groups; and education groups.
