Abstract
In
October 2021 there was inflation of 0.07 percent with a Consumer Price Index
(CPI) of 107.00. Of the 90 CPI cities, 68 cities experienced inflation and 22 cities
experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Sampit at 2.06 percent
with a CPI of 109.30 and the lowest occurred in Sumenep at 0.02 percent with a
CPI of 106.21. Meanwhile, the highest deflation was in Kendari at 0.70 percent
with a CPI of 107.98 and the lowest was in Bengkulu at 0.02 percent with a CPI
of 105.89.
Inflation
occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index
of three expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by
0.27 percent, the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.19
percent, and the equipment group. , equipment and routine household maintenance
by 0.36 percent.
