Abstract
November 2018, Bandar Lampung City experienced inflation of 0.25 percent due to an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 134.39 in October 2018 to 134.73 in November 2018. Four expenditure groups experienced inflation in Bandar Lampung City, namely the group processed food, beverages, cigarettes & tobacco by 0.94 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group 0.41 percent; health group 0.43 percent; and the transport, communication & financial services group 0.22 percent. In contrast, the foodstuffs group experienced deflation (down by 0.31 percent). Meanwhile, clothing and education, recreation & sports groups did not experience changes in the index.
The contribution of expenditure groups in the formation of inflation in November 2018 was from the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group by 0.16 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas & fuel group 0.12 percent; health group 0.02 percent; and the transport, communication and financial services group by 0.02 percent. In contrast, the foodstuffs group contributed to the formation of deflation by 0.07 percent. Meanwhile, clothing and education, recreation and sports groups did not contribute to the formation of inflation or deflation.
Some commodities that predominantly contributed to the formation of inflation in November included rice with side dishes, wall paint, shallots, gasoline, wood paint / iron paint, concrete iron, toothpaste, mobile phone credit rates, broiler eggs, and garlic.
