Abstract
December
2018, Bandar Lampung City experienced inflation of 0.31 percent due to
an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 134.73 in November
2018 to 135.15 in December 2018. Seven (all) expenditure groups
experienced inflation in Bandar Lampung City, the foodstuffs group
experienced inflation of 0.50 percent; processed foods, beverages,
cigarettes and tobacco 0.70 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas
and fuel group 0.04 percent; clothing group 0.48 percent; health group
0.20 percent; education, recreation and sports group 0.02 percent; and
the transport, communication and financial services group 0.21 percent.
The
contribution of the expenditure group in the formation of inflation in
December 2018 was 0.31 percent. The foodstuffs group contributed to the
formation of inflation by 0.11 percent; processed foods, beverages,
cigarettes and tobacco group of 0.12 percent; housing, water,
electricity, gas & fuel group 0.01 percent; clothing group 0.03
percent; health group 0.01 percent; and the transport, communication and
financial services group 0.03 percent. Meanwhile, the education,
recreation and sports groups did not contribute to the formation of
inflation or deflation.
Some commodities that predominantly
contribute to the formation of inflation in December include: filtered
clove cigarettes, chicken eggs, shallots, broiler meat, leather sandals,
wet shrimp, air transport, vehicle washing, cung kediro, and jengkol.
