The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in Bandar Lampung during August 2013 reached 45.14%, up 2.96% compared to July 2013 which was recorded at 42.18%. ROR for star hotels in August 2013 compared to August 2012 which was recorded at 58.70%, decreased by 13.56%. The ROR for other accommodation (other accommodation hotels) throughout August 2013 was 40.14%, down 0.20% compared to July 2013 which was recorded at 40.34%. ROR for other accommodation in August 2013 compared to August 2012 which was recorded at 36.10%, an increase of 4.04%.
The number of guests during August 2013 at star hotels was 12,427 people, namely 1,677 foreign guests and 10,750 domestic guests. This number decreased by 533 people or around 4.11% compared to July 2013 which was recorded at 12,960 people. The number of guests staying at star hotels in August 2013 decreased in 1, 2 and 3 star hotels compared to the previous month. The number of guests during August 2013 who stayed in other accommodation was 66,224 people, consisting of 59 foreign guests and 66,165 domestic guests, an increase of 1,300 people or around 2.00% compared to July 2013 which was recorded at 64,924 people. The number of guests staying in other accommodation in August 2013 increased in the < 25 room group compared to the previous month. The number of guests staying at star hotels in August 2013, compared to August 2012, increased from 12,045 people to 12,427 people. The number of guests staying in other accommodation in August 2013 compared to August 2012 decreased from 68,966 people to 66,224 people. The average length of stay for guests in August 2013 at star hotels was recorded at 1.57 days, up 0.01 days compared to July 2013. The average length of stay for foreign guests at star hotels in August 2013 was 1.49 days and domestic guests averaged -average stay is 1.58 days. The increase in the average length of stay of guests at star hotels in August 2013 occurred in the 1, 2 and 3 star hotel groups compared to the previous month.
The average length of stay of guests during August 2013 in other accommodation was around 1.57 days, down 0.03 days compared to the previous month. The average length of stay for foreign guests in other accommodation in August 2013 was 16.51 days and the average stay for domestic guests was 1.56 days. A decrease in the average length of stay of guests in other accommodation in August 2013 occurred in all room groups compared to the previous month.
