The total export value of Lampung Province in December 2011 reached US$ 221.6 million or decreased by US$ 111.1 million (33.40%) compared to exports in November 2011. Exports in December 2011, compared to December 2010, also decreased by US$ 62.1 million (21 .9%) of US$283.7 million.
Seven main categories of goods experienced a decline in export value in December 2011 compared to November 2011. The highest decline in exports occurred in the animal/vegetable fats & oils category, US$110.8 million; cocoa/chocolate US$8.6 million; rubber and rubber goods US$5.7 million; processed fruit/vegetables US$1.5 million; organic chemicals US$0.5 million; wood, wooden goods US$0.3 million; and fish and shrimp US$0.2 million. The three main categories of goods that experienced an increase in export value in December 2011 compared to November 2011 were pulp/pulp US$11.1 million; coffee, tea, spices US$6.1 million; and processed meat and fish US$1.5 million.
The largest contribution throughout 2011 was dominated by four categories of goods, especially animal/vegetable fats and oils; coffee, tea, and spices; pulp/pulps; and processed fruit/vegetables, which each have a contribution of 31.45%; 14.06%; 6.25%; and 6.15% of Lampung Province's total exports. The role of these four groups reached 57.91% of the total export value during 2011.
The main destination country for exports throughout 2011 was the United States which reached US$342 million, followed by China, Japan, Taiwan and Malaysia with US$322.6 million, US$310.1 million, US$257.2 million and US$209 respectively. 9 million.
