Abstract

The total export value of Lampung Province in October 2011 only reached US$ 213.84 million or decreased by US$ 39.74 million (2.06%) compared to exports in September 2011. Export conditions in October 2011, compared to October 2010, increased by US$ 17.52 million. (8.92%) of US$196.32 million.

Six main categories of goods experienced a decline in export value in October 2011 compared to September 2011. The highest decline in exports occurred in the category of animal/vegetable fats & oils, US$53.16 million; pulp/pulp US$5.73 million; coffee, tea, spices US$4.31 million; cocoa/chocolate US$2.96 million; wood, wooden goods US$1.27 million; and organic chemicals US$0.52 million. The four main categories of goods that experienced an increase in export value in October 2011 compared to September 2011 were fish and shrimp at US$3.39 million; processed fruit/vegetables US$1.68 million; processed meat and fish US$1.17 million; and rubber and rubber goods US$0.40 million.

The largest contribution in October 2011 was dominated by four categories of goods, especially animal/vegetable fats and oils; coffee, tea, and spices; fish and shrimp; and pulp/pulp, which each contributed 20.68%; 13.25%; 8.86%; and 8.82% of Lampung Province's total exports. The role of these four groups reached 51.61% of the total export value in the same month.

The main export destination country in October 2011 was China which reached US$30.75 million, followed by the United States, India, Vietnam and Japan respectively amounting to US$30.57 million, US$29.18 million, US$26.22 million and US $23.45 million. The role of these five countries reached 65.55% of total exports that month.
