Abstract

November 2020, Bandar Lampung City experienced inflation of 0.09 percent. There was an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in November 2020 to 105.65. This inflation was supported by an increase in the consumer price index in two expenditure groups, namely the food, beverage and tobacco group by 106.57 and the transportation group by 105.42. Food, Beverage and Tobacco Group; and the transportation group experienced inflation of 0.16 percent and 0.46 percent, respectively. Three groups experienced deflation, namely the housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels group; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group; as well as personal care groups and other services. Meanwhile, the other six groups did not experience a change in index in November 2020.

Based on the dominant commodities that contributed to the formation of inflation in November 2020, it was noted that chicken eggs and air transportation contributed significantly to general inflation by 0.06 percent and 0.05 percent, respectively. Of the ten commodities that predominantly contributed to inflation, eight were the food, beverage and tobacco groups; and the other two commodities are contributions from the transportation group.
