Abstract

June 2020, Bandar Lampung City experienced inflation of 0.03 percent, as seen from the increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) to 104.81 in June 2020, after previously in May 2020 the Consumer Price Index was 104.78. Of the eleven expenditure groups in Bandar Lampung City, three groups experienced inflation (increase in index), namely the personal care and other services group by 0.58 percent; household appliances, equipment and routine maintenance by 0.21 percent; and transportation by 0.19 percent. Two groups experienced deflation namely; the information, communication and financial services group experienced deflation of 0.38 percent; and the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.09 percent. Meanwhile, the other six groups were monitored to be stable or not experience inflation / deflation.

The dominant commodities that contributed to the formation of inflation in June 2020 included: broiler eggs by 0.07 percent; pedigree chicken meat 0.04 percent; shallots 0.04 percent; rice 0.02 percent; cucumbers 0.02 percent; air transportation 0.02 percent; tomatoes 0.01 percent; toothpaste 0.01 percent; 0.01 percent petai; and mackerel 0.01 percent.
