During November 2013, the Grain Producer Price Survey recorded 26 observations in 4 selected districts. Observations were dominated by the quality grain group of Harvested Dry Grain (GKP) with 23 observations, the low quality grain group with 3 observations, and no quality grain group of Milled Dry Grain (GKG) was found.
The highest price for grain at the farmer level reached Rp. 4,500.00 per kg for GKP quality grain with Ciherang, Melati and Galur varieties found in Purbolinggo District, East Lampung Regency and Trimurjo District, Central Lampung Regency. Still with the same grain quality, the lowest grain price reached Rp. 3,600.00 per kg, namely the emerging variety found in Sragi District, South Lampung Regency. This price is still above the Government Purchase Price (HPP), which is Rp. 3,300.00 per kg.
At the milling level, the highest price of grain is IDR. 4,595.00 per kg, namely the Ciherang variety found in Trimurjo District, Central Lampung Regency, while the lowest price for grain in the GKP quality group is Rp. 3,700.00 per kg with the emerging variety found in Sragi District, South Lampung Regency. This price is still above COGS, namely Rp. 3,350.00 per kg.
The price of grain at the farmer and mill level rose in November. The dry season is the cause of grain prices increasing in several sub-districts. The average increase in the price of the GKP quality group at the farmer level was 3.22 percent from Rp. 4,130.77 per kg to Rp. 4,263.70 per kg, and at the milling level with the same quality group, an increase of 3.14 percent from Rp. 4,220.77 per kg to Rp. 4,353.48 per kg.
