During the third quarter of 2013, Lampung's economy grew 1.27 percent from the previous quarter (q to q). Compared to the same quarter in 2012 (y on y), Lampung's economy grew by 6.03 percent. Cumulatively, Lampung's economic growth up to the third quarter of 2013 (c to c) grew 5.96 percent.
On a q to q basis, there are seven sectors experiencing positive growth and two other sectors experiencing negative growth. The sector that experienced the largest growth was the Transport and Communications sector which grew 4.77 percent, followed by the Finance, Rental and Corporate Services sector at 3.11 percent and the Electricity, Gas and Clean Water sector at 3.03 percent.
Lampung's economic structure in the third quarter of 2013 compared to the previous quarter, did not experience significant changes in composition and sequence. The Agricultural sector is still the sector that makes the largest contribution (36.29 percent), followed by the Trade/Hotel/Restaurant sector and the Processing Industry at 15.71 and 15.08 percent respectively.
In terms of expenditure, on a q to q basis, the component that experienced the largest growth was Household Consumption, namely 2.95 percent, followed by Non-Profit Private Institution Consumption 2.41 percent and PMTB 2.06 percent.
The GRDP structure according to Expenditures in the third quarter of 2013 is dominated by the components of Household consumption (50.11 percent), Net Exports (20.70 percent) and PMTB (16.83 percent).
Sumatra's economic growth in the third quarter of 2013 was recorded at 2.57 percent (q to q), on a "y-ony" basis it was 4.84 percent and on a "c to c" basis it reached 5.14 percent
