The total export value of Lampung Province in August 2013 reached US$291.8 million or decreased by US$70.2 million (19.40%) compared to exports in July 2013 which were recorded at US$362 million. Exports from January - August 2013, compared to January - August 2012, increased by US$ 142.6 million (6.22%).
The five main categories of goods in August 2013 were coffee, tea, spices; animal/vegetable fats & oils; fish and shrimp; wood pulp/pulp and processed fruits/vegetables. The decline in exports occurred in 4 main categories of goods, while 1 main category of goods which increased was animal/vegetable fats & oils. Coffee, tea, spices experienced a decline in exports of around 24.06% or US$30.89 million, fish and shrimp 48.31% (US$13.72 million), wood pulp/pulp 31.84% (US$5.04 million) and processed fruit/vegetables 28.27% (US$4.25 million).
The largest contribution to export value for the period January - August 2013 occurred in animal/vegetable fats and oils; coffee, tea, and spices; fish and shrimp; wood pulp/pulp and processed fruit/vegetables, each contributing 36.04%; 21.97%; 5.05%; 4.31% and 3.83% of total exports January - August 2013 Lampung Province. The role of these five groups reached 71.19% of total exports in the same period.
The main export destination country in August 2013 was the Netherlands which reached US$42.9 million, followed by Italy, the United States, Vietnam and China respectively US$32.6 million, US$32.2 million, US$18.7 million and US $18.3 million. The contribution of the five reached US$144.8 million (49.61%) of total exports in August 2013.
