Abstract

Lampung Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) Quarter III-2011 was 109.69. This value is slightly lower than the National which reached 110.24.

The increase in the household income index in the third quarter of 2011, encouraged improvements in the economic conditions of Lampung consumers in the third quarter of 2011. The relatively low inflation rate has an impact on increasing household consumption levels of food and non-food.

Lampung's ITK value for the fourth quarter of 2011 is estimated at 107.53, meaning that consumer economic conditions are expected to decline. The level of consumer optimism is expected to be lower than in the third quarter of 2011 which reached 109.69.

The decline in consumer economic conditions in the coming quarter is predicted by the forecast for the future household income index to fall to 108.71.
