Lampung's economy in the second quarter of 2011 grew 7.30 percent

Abstract

Lampung's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in Quarter II-2011 grew 4.02 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). All sectors experienced positive growth, where the Services sector experienced the highest growth, reaching 9.10 percent.

When compared with the same quarter in 2010 (y on y) Lampung's GRDP grew by 7.30 percent. All sectors grew positively and the highest growth was in the Transportation/Communication sector at 14.40 percent.

Cumulatively (c to c) Lampung's economic growth up to Quarter II-2011 grew 7.10 percent. All sectors grew positively and the highest growth was in the Transportation/Communication sector at 14.50 percent.

The size of Lampung's GRDP based on current prices in Quarter II-2011 was Rp. 32,734 billion, an increase compared to the previous quarter (Rp. 30,745 billion).

From the expenditure side, GDP growth in Quarter II-2011 (q to q) was mainly due to high growth in the Government Consumption group and "y on y" growth due to encouragement of Net Exports.

Sumatra's economic growth in the second quarter of 2011 was recorded at 1.86 percent (q to q), "y-on-y" at 6.05 percent and "c to c" at 5.95 percent.
