Abstract

PADDY
  • Rice production in 2010 (Fixed Figure) was 2.81 million tons of dry milled grain (GKG), an increase of 133.83 thousand tons (5.01 percent) compared to rice production in 2009. The increase in production was due to an increase in harvested area of 20 .19 thousand hectares (3.54 percent) and a productivity increase of 0.66 quintals per hectare (1.42 percent), namely from 46.88 quintals per hectare of GKG in 2009 to 47.54 quintals per hectare of GKG in 2010.
  • Rice production in 2011 (Forecast II Figures) is estimated at 3.00 million tons of GKG, an increase of 197.96 thousand tons (7.05 percent) compared to rice production in 2010 (Fixed Figures). The increase in production was due to an increase in harvested area of 28.40 thousand hectares (4.81 percent) and an increase in productivity of 1.02 quintals per hectare (2.14 percent), namely from 47.54 quintals per hectare of GKG in 2010 to 48, 56 quintals per hectare of GKG in 2011

CORN
  • Corn production in 2010 (Fixed Figure) was 2.13 million dry shelled tons, an increase of 58.86 thousand tons (2.85 percent) compared to corn production in 2009. The increase in corn production was caused by an increase in harvested area of 12.97 thousand hectares (2.98 percent), although there was a decline in productivity of 0.06 quintals per hectare (0.13 percent).
  • Corn production in 2011 (Forecast II Figures) is estimated at 1.92 million dry shelled tons, or a decrease of 205.24 thousand tons (9.65 percent) compared to production in 2010 (Fixed Figures). The decline in production occurred due to a decrease in harvested area of 41.26 thousand hectares (9.22 percent) and a decrease in productivity of 0.23 quintals per hectare (0.48 percent). C.

SOYA BEAN
  • Soybean production in 2010 (Fixed Figure) was 7.32 thousand tons of dry beans, a decrease of 8.83 thousand tons (54.65 percent) compared to production in 2009. The decrease in production occurred mainly due to a decrease in harvested area of 7.32 thousand tons (54.17 percent).
  • Soybean production in 2011 (Forecast Figures II) is estimated at 11.12 thousand tons of dry beans or an increase of 3.80 thousand tons (51.85 percent) compared to 2010 (Fix Figures). The increase in soybean production is estimated to occur due to an increase in harvested area of 3.06 thousand hectares (49.44 percent) and productivity of 0.19 quintals per hectare (1.61 percent).
