Implementation of the 2024 Special Survey for the Study of Inventory Changes (SKSPPI)

July 2, 2024 | BPS Activities

Given the importance of calculating inventory changes as a benchmark for calculating a country's economic productivity, a Special Survey of Inventory Change Compilation Studies (SKSPPI) needs to be conducted to obtain accurate and detailed information on the value of inventory positions.
Inventory is stock that is controlled and held by a unit for the purpose of being used by itself, sold, or given to other units in the future. Inventory is one of the investment components in GDP according to expenditure that is no longer counted as residual. BPS is gradually improving inventory calculations by increasing data availability. The Special Survey of Inventory Change Compilation Studies (SKSPPI) is conducted to obtain more detailed inventory information.
The Inventory Change Compilation Study (SKSPPI) activity in Bandar Lampung City is scheduled to be carried out on June 13 - September 30, 2024. Previously, this activity was preceded by training for field officers which was held online on June 10-11, 2024, then followed by offline training on June 12, 2024 at the BPS Office Hall, Bandar Lampung City. The number of officers is 4 PPL and 2 PML. The field survey activity was carried out with a sample of 30 businesses/companies.
