The National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) is a special survey to collect employment data. The collection of employment data through SAKERNAS has three main objectives. The three objectives are to find out: Employment opportunities, and their relation to education, number of hours worked, type of work, employment and employment status; Unemployment and underemployment; The population included in the non-labor force category are those who go to school, take care of the household and carry out other activities. Sakernas is a routine activity of BPS which is held every 2 times a year (semester). The first semester is held in February and the second semester is held in August.
The series of Sakernas activities began with training of field officers, followed by data collection/field enumeration, and ended with processing the data resulting from the enumeration. In semester 1 of 2022, BPS Bandar Lampung City will hold training for field officers at the Grand Praba Hotel Grand Praba on 22-23 July 2022. The number of officers involved are 12 PML and 24 PCL. The number of census blocks that became the target of enumeration was 72 census blocks. Before field data collection begins, first updating/updating the contents of the census block where samples will be obtained. The updating activity was carried out on July 25 to August 5, 2022. After the update was carried out, then a sample of 10 households could be drawn for each census block, and 180 sample households were obtained. Field data collection was carried out on 8 to 28 February 2022. The entire series of activities could be carried out smoothly as expected. Hopefully in the future, the output of this activity can be useful to support the determination of public policy by the government.
